Midwinter Mythical Flow and Vegan Supper with Tanja Mickwitz at 42 Acres, Shoreditch

image1.jpeg

A Very Special Midwinter Mythical Flow

What better time than a dark January night to gather round for storytelling, a warming Vinyasa practice followed by supper in great company. Come along to nourish soul and spirit with Tanja’s much-loved Mythical Flow and the East of Eden community at beautiful 42 Acres in Shoreditch.

Mythical Flow forms a full journey through mythology, yoga, mantra and mudra which will take you into a deeper understanding of yoga as well as yourself. The stories act as a mirror reflecting back at us how we choose to act within the stories of our own lives. The symbolism of the myths is really about what happens within ourselves and connecting to different deity energies allows us to reflect over how these different aspects of ourselves shape our behaviour and who we are in the world. Through the tools of practice we can invoke exactly what we need to act more skilfully and live more fully. And in a addition to being a great tool for reflection these stories provide great fun as a backdrop to practice!

After practise, enjoy a delicious vegan supper, the perfect way to ground and slow down in the depths of midwinter.

£50. BOOK IN HERE.

Transformational Breathing and Movement - Day Retreat For Mamas, Town Hall Hotel London

Screen Shot 2017-10-19 at 12.55.33.png

RESET, an urban day retreat at Bethnal Green’s Town Hall Hotel between 10am and 530pm on Sunday January 21st weaves breath and movement with delicious plant-based heathy food and goodies to enable mums to reset themselves for 2018 after a busy festive period.

Designed with mums in mind, you will be led through a series of yoga inspired movements and postures to help access a fuller respiratory system. You’ll start with a full Transformational Breath session followed by deep relaxation and a simple, short meditation. After a delicious vegan lunch, we’ll close the afternoon with a yin yoga practice and meditation led by Vanessa Bridgman to create space in the body by working with the deep connective tissue fascia - more rejuvenating than a nap. No yoga experience is required and you stay in postures for a longer period of time.

Breathing correctly is essential for feeling well. A full breath can help you feel more energised, less stressed and learning new breathing exercises can help you enjoy a deeper sleep. Everything you learn on the day can then be practiced at home.

Transformational Breath®, is a self-healing technique that helps people correct old unhealthy patterns of breathing and helps to access the full potential of their breathing system for better physical, emotional and mental well-being.  The connected pattern of conscious breathing is a natural, safe and easy –to-learn technique, which has proven to have many benefits almost universally, including increased energy, better immune response and increased ability to deal with stress in a positive way.

Diaphragmatic breathing is paramount to the Transformational Breath® process.  Encouraging a deep breath into the abdomen is not only relaxing; it’s been scientifically proven to positively affect the heart, brain, digestive and immune system. Once the breath is moving in the abdomen, the upper lungs can be activated so eventually the breath is full, connected and active.

Venue:  Town Hall Hotel, 8 Patriot Square, London E2 9NF

Cost:  £110. Early bird pricing of £90 if booked before December 31st

To book, please go to https://ticketlab.co.uk/event/id/905 and book online. Please call 02035837530 with any queries.

ABOUT THE RETREAT

There is a walk along the beautiful banks of the River Rother, plenty of secluded spaces to relax in, wildflower meadows, streams, woodland walks and beautifully kept walled gardens. There are many local public footpaths leading from the property, across endless fields and forests, but the farm itself is entirely private.

They are hidden away at the end of a private lane, spreading from the peak of the south facing Rother Valley down to the banks of the River Rother. Located between Etchingham and Ticehurst, in East Sussex. It is one hour from London by car, or 75 minutes by train from Charing Cross, via London Bridge and Waterloo East stations - all going direct to Etchingham station.
