Transformational Breathing and Yoga Retreat, New House Farm Sussex

Join East of Eden, Aimee Hartley and Vanessa Joy in March 2019 for a 3 day retreat combining nourishing and energising yoga and meditation with the powerful healing of Transformational Breathing in the beautiful Sussex countryside. There's a heated swimming pool, hot tub and a giant inglenook fireplace to hang out at after the yoga is done, with delicious, organic, healthy food. We’ll also be arranging for massage therapists to be available for deeply relaxing massages and bodywork. The yoga and breathwork is suitable for all levels - there'll be progressions for the more advanced practitioners and lots of support if you are newer to yoga.

TO BOOK – Email marking the subject MARCH RETREAT.

This weekend retreat will be held at The Lodges At New House Farm in Etchingham. Just one hour from Central London, The Lodges at New House Farm - a new luxury rural holiday destination - is set in the heart of the High Weald of East Sussex.

It is based around six lodges, in a modern rustic style, all with far reaching views of the High Weald – a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Central to The Lodges is a beautiful and extremely spacious, long, communal barn which also includes further accommodation facilities, and a huge kitchen, all designed to cater for large groups.

There is a heated outdoor swimming pool available, with it's own private gardens and terraces, and also a hot tub.

The lodges are set amongst 12 private acres of untouched rolling, rural landscapes. There is a walk along the beautiful banks of the River Rother, plenty of secluded spaces to relax in, wildflower meadows, streams, woodland walks and beautifully kept walled gardens. There are many local public footpaths leading from the property, across endless fields and forests, but the farm itself is entirely private.

They are hidden away at the end of a private lane, spreading from the peak of the south facing Rother Valley down to the banks of the River Rother. Located between Etchingham and Ticehurst, in East Sussex. It is one hour from London by car, or 75 minutes by train from Charing Cross, via London Bridge and Waterloo East stations - all going direct to Etchingham station. They are just 3 minutes drive from the station, or a short walk.

The velocity of urban lifestyles led Vanessa to explore holistic pathways to that elusive balance. As the unneeded fell away in her search for steady footing, it was the constant of her yoga practise that steered the course towards a true knowing and contentment of self.

Vanessa aims to deeply connect people into the space of their bodies again with the use of emotive language, alignment awareness and an emphasis on the breath. Each class is a journey towards stillness, cultivating a sense of playfulness and curiosity to all that is encountered along the way.

Vanessa is a 200hr certified Yoga Alliance teacher with the World Conscious Yoga Family. Trained in Hatha’s tradition lineage, she incorporates the dynamacism of her vinyasa roots and the restorative learnings from Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra certifications for a truly authentic and energetically balanced practice.
